Hotkeys

This tab allows you to configure hotkeys settings.

Play/Pause

Default hotkey: Win + P
Plays or pauses iTunes.

Prev Track

Default hotkey: Win + Left Arrow
Advances iTunes to the next track.

Next Track

Default hotkey: Win + Right Arrow
Moves iTunes to the previous track.

Stop

Default hotkey: None
Stops iTunes.

Quit

Default hotkey: Win + Q
Quits iTunesControl.

Show Current Track

Default hotkey: Win + C
Shows the iTunesControl display with information about the current track.

Volume Up

Default hotkey: Win + Up Arrow
Raises the volume by an amount set in the "Miscellaneous" tab of settings.

Volume Down

Default hotkey: Win + Down Arrow
Decreases the volume by an amount set in the "Miscellaneous" tab of settings.

Mute

Default hotkey: Win + Shift + Down Arrow
Mutes or unmutes iTunes.

Next Artist

Default hotkey: Win + A
Moves iTunes to the first song after the current song by an artist different from the current artist.

Previous Artist

Default hotkey: Win + Shift + A
Moves iTunes to the first song before the current song by an artist different from the current artist.

Next Album

Default hotkey: Win + Z
Moves iTunes to the first song after the current song with an album different from the current album.

Previous Album

Default hotkey: Win + Shift + Z
Moves iTunes to the first song before the current song with an album different from the current album.

Toggle Shuffle

Default hotkey: Win + S
Toggle shuffle mode in iTunes.

Cycle Repeat Modes

Default hotkey: Win + J
Cycle through all repeat modes in iTunes.

Rate 0 Stars

Default hotkey: Win + 0
Rate the currently playing song 0 stars. This has the effect of removing the rating.

Rate 1 Stars

Default hotkey: Win + 1
Rate the currently playing song 1 star.

Rate 2 Stars

Default hotkey: Win + 2
Rate the currently playing song 2 stars.

Rate 3 Stars

Default hotkey: Win + 3
Rate the currently playing song 3 stars.

Rate 4 Stars

Default hotkey: Win + 4
Rate the currently playing song 4 stars.

Rate 5 Stars

Default hotkey: Win + 5
Rate the currently playing song 5 stars.

Show Current Rating

Default hotkey: Win + 6
Show the rating for the current song using the on-screen display.

Show/Hide iTunes

Default hotkey: Win + Shift + S
If the iTunes window has focus, it will be minimized. If the iTunes window does not have focus, it will be given focus.

Clear Search Box

Default hotkey: Win + X
Clears the search box in iTunes.

Show Settings

Default hotkey: Win + Control + Shift + S
Opens the iTunesControl Configuration window.

Sleep Timer

Default hotkey: Win + Shift + X
Opens the iTunesControl Sleep Timer configuration screen.

Set Rating

Default hotkey: Win + Shift + 6
Opens a window that allows the rating to be set from 0 to 5 stars, in 1/2 star increments.

Rating Increment

Default hotkey: None
Increments the rating of the current song.

Rating Decrement

Default hotkey: None
Decrements the rating of the current song.

Update iPod

Default hotkey: None
Starts the iTunes iPod synchronization process.

Copy Song Info

Default hotkey: None
Copys information about the current track to the clipboard, using the format specified in the Copy Song Info Format setting.

Tag

Default hotkey: None
Opens the tag window, allowing tags to be set or removed for the current track.

Quick Playlist

Default hotkey: None
Starts playing the playlist specified in the "Quick Playlist" setting.

Normalize Up

Default hotkey: None
Increases the per-track volume setting.

Normalize Down

Default hotkey: None
Decreases the per-track volume setting.

Normalize Zero

Default hotkey: None
Zeros the per-track volume setting.

Playlist Search

Default hotkey: None
Opens the Playlist Search window.

Short Jump

Default hotkey: None
Jumps by the amount set in the "Short Jump" setting.

Long Jump

Default hotkey: None
Jumps by the amount set in the "Long Jump" setting.
